What an awesome expression of love was poured out on the hearts of two special ladies this past weekend as Irmo launched the iCare Project. I know they will never be the same because of the service of 25 men, women and children this past Saturday.
Serving others is at the heart of the message of Jesus. This coming Thursday is the day when the church celebrates the last supper Jesus spent with His disciples . During that celebration, Jesus did the most amazing thing when he kneeled down and washed the disciples feet. What he did that day has echoed down the halls of time to send a message to all His followers that even GOD feels drawn to serve others. He didn't have to do it, but it was in His heart to serve others. Jesus said it like this in Mark 10
43 ...Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
I thank those of you who participated for following the example of Jesus by serving others unselfishly this past Saturday. Let me share just a few lines from emails I have received from these ladies.
Dear Pastor Jeff,
Thank you and your wonderful members ,for the blessing you give to my family and me. We look forward to visiting your church.

Dear iCare Team, I have been involved in ministry for nearly 30 years and never have I had anything like this happen and I am so grateful to the iCare Team and to you as our Pastor for doing this for us. I learned that sometimes I just need help and this is one of those times. I also felt so loved and cared for--sometimes when you are single you feel like if you don't do things for yourself, they won't get done and that can be physically and emotionally exhausting. Thank you iCare team!
