iCare Project

What an awesome expression of love was poured out on the hearts of two special ladies this past weekend as Irmo launched the iCare Project. I know they will never be the same because of the service of 25 men, women and children this past Saturday.

Serving others is at the heart of the message of Jesus. This coming Thursday is the day when the church celebrates the last supper Jesus spent with His disciples . During that celebration, Jesus did the most amazing thing when he kneeled down and washed the disciples feet. What he did that day has echoed down the halls of time to send a message to all His followers that even GOD feels drawn to serve others. He didn't have to do it, but it was in His heart to serve others. Jesus said it like this in Mark 10

43  ...Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, and whoever wants to be first must be slave of all. For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many."
I thank those of you who participated for following the example of Jesus by serving others unselfishly this past Saturday. Let me share just a few lines from emails I have received from these ladies.
Dear Pastor Jeff,
Thank you and your wonderful members ,for the blessing you give to my family and me. We look forward to visiting your church.
Mrs. Betty

Dear iCare Team,
I have been involved in ministry for nearly 30 years  and never have I had anything like this happen and I am so grateful to the iCare Team and to you as our Pastor for doing this for us.  I learned that sometimes I just need help and this is one of those times. I also felt so loved and cared for--sometimes when you are single you feel like if you don't do things for yourself, they won't get done and that can be physically and emotionally exhausting. Thank you iCare team!

Coming up February 4

This weekend Pastor Greg continues our series "New and Improved" with a message called, New and Improved Lives from Ephesians 2:1-10.  In this message we will look at the Journey to a New and Improved life by seeing where we were, where we are now and most importantly - where we are going.

Be sure to join us this weekend as we continue this very timely and relevant study of the book of Ephesians.

Don't forget to continue your study of Ephesians as you read a chapter a day and the whole letter on Sundays.  We hope to see you this weekend.

Coming up February 18

This weekend we continue our series "New and Improved" with a message called, New and Improved Grace from Ephesians 3:1-13.

Paul takes a moment to give us a direct look at the heart of a pastor who loves people so much and has given his life to introducing them to the God that can save them.

WIth passion and purpose Paul shows us how to be a sacrificing, speaking, serving people who spill out Jesus all over our world.

Be sure to join us this weekend as we continue this very timely and relevant study of the book of Ephesians.

Don't forget to continue your study of Ephesians as you read a chapter a day and the whole letter on Sundays.  We hope to see you this weekend.

Coming up February 11

This weekend we continue our series "New and Improved" with a message called, New and Improved Reality from Ephesians 2:11-22.  In last weekends message Pastor Greg took us on a journey to see where we were, where we are now and most importantly - where we are going personally.

In this weekends passage Paul helps us to see this whole "new reality" concept from a community view.  Who are we now as The Church and what does it mean to be changed and a new creation a part of a new family.

Be sure to join us this weekend as we continue this very timely and relevant study of the book of Ephesians.

Coming up January 28

This weekend Pastor Greg continues our series "New and Improved" with a message called, Praying for each other from Ephesians 1:15-23.  In this message we will answer questions like:

Who should we pray for?
Who do we pray to?
What should we pray for?
How come sometimes my prayers don't work?
What is the purpose of prayer?

God calls us to be a people of prayer.  If the first part of Ephesians chapter 1 was a call to praise God, then this weekends passage is a call to prayer.

Don't forget to continue your study of Ephesians as you read a chapter a day and the whole letter on Sundays.  We hope to see you this weekend.

Coming up January 21st

This weekend Pastor Greg continues our series "New and Improved" with a message called, Why Worship God from Ephesians 1:3-14.  We will better understand the heart of God as we see how He chose us, planned us and left us an inheritance through His son Jesus Christ.

This passage also hold some of the most controversial theology in Christian history in the doctrines of Pre-destination and Free Will.  In Seacoast style Pastor Greg will tackle these issues and give us clarity on how this sometimes argued over passage was meant as a love letter from Paul to His God.

Don't forget to continue your study of Ephesians as you read a chapter a day and the whole letter on Sundays.  We hope to see you this weekend.
